Cos\u00ec Egli scrive: \u00abNell'ordine delle cose \u00e8 scritta una richiesta: che l'umanit\u00e0 sia un soggetto unico del proprio destino. [...] Quella che io propugno non \u00e8 la distruzione delle identit\u00e0 tradizionali, \u00e8 l'opzione per una identit\u00e0 nuova in cui potenzialmente si ritrovino tutte le identit\u00e0 elaborate dal genere umano nel suo lungo cammino\u00bb. Se questi sono il tempo e lo spazio dell'\u00abuomo planetario\u00bb che ruolo avranno le diverse fedi religiose? Saranno ancora capaci di dare alle esistenze individuali e collettive un senso, un orizzonte di fine, un sentiero da battere con fiducia?
